Finding your way around Artlook
Once you’re logged in, every screen in Artlook follows the same basic layout, so once you’re familiar with one module you’re familiar with them all.
The top navigation bar
Across the top are buttons for the main modules: Dashboard, Inventory, Contacts, Groupings, Reports and Settings. Click a module button to switch to it; the highlighted button shows which module you’re in.
Two icons sit to the right of the modules: a globe, which opens your public Artlook website in a new tab, and a lightning bolt, which loads the Artlook Web Helper to help you manage your website.
Your login name and the System Menu
At the far right of the top bar is your login name. Click it to open the System Menu — your way in to account and subscription settings, your website’s domain, exporting your data, and getting further help. See The System Menu for what’s on it.
Next to your login name, an info icon shows your current software version, and the power icon signs you out directly.
The toolbar
Underneath the modules is a toolbar offering a different set of actions depending on which module and screen you’re on. Common actions include creating or deleting records, selecting all the records on screen, printing reports, moving between pages, switching between card and table (list) views, and refreshing the list.
The Query Pane
On many screens, a panel on the right — the Query Pane — lets you search and filter your records, and offers a set of Actions you can carry out on the records currently matching your filters. It usually has three tabs: Search, Filters and Actions.
Small screens
The layout adapts if your browser window or device is narrow. Some toolbar buttons drop their labels and show as icons only, and the module bar can collapse into a menu button when space is tight.
Pablo, your AI assistant
Look for Pablo’s prompt at the bottom left of your screen. Pablo is Artlook’s AI assistant — ask him a question about how to do something in Artlook and he’ll do his best to answer. He doesn’t know everything, but he’s good at solving most everyday queries, and he keeps learning and improving over time.
