Bulk loading images

If you’ve got several new pieces to add and already have their images ready — ideally all in one folder — Load, on the Inventory toolbar, is a quicker way in than creating each record from scratch and adding its image separately.

Click Load, then either select the image files you want — you can select as many at once as you like, there’s no limit — or point it at a whole folder to upload every image in it in one go. Artlook creates a new inventory record for each image, using it as that record’s main photo and the image’s filename (without its suffix) as the title — leaving you to open each new record afterwards and fill in the rest of its details, such as artist, medium and price. A dialog box also prompts you for other options to apply to the uploaded files.

This is worth using whenever you’re adding a batch of new pieces at the same time, rather than one at a time.
