What are editions?
Any inventory record can be converted into an edition. Once converted, it stops being tracked as a single piece and instead becomes a master record for a set of numbered items — for example, a print run of 9, or an edition of 10 with 3 artist’s proofs. There’s no limit on how many items an edition can hold.
The master record holds the generic details shared by every item — medium, date created, image, and so on. Its price becomes mostly a placeholder, since each individual item within the edition has its own price, which you’re free to vary — useful if you want to raise the price as fewer items remain available.
Once a record is converted, its Items tab is where you manage the edition, and both the Inventory index and the record’s own footer show how many items are still available, for example 9/9.
