Making a sale
In order to record that a piece of art has sold:
- go to the Transacting tab in the** Inventory**
- click on the shopping cart to** ‘transact this item’**
- change the status from ‘Available’ to ‘Sold’
- enter details of the purchaser - if they are not in your Contacts database, you will need to create a new customer.
Once you have entered the purchaser’s details, you will have additional fields to complete:
- enter in the price, date and tax details of the sale
- enter any additional information for the transaction document
- there is also an option to add framing, sundries and delivery to the details of the sale. The delivery bands can be entered into the settings area of Artlook.
- finally click on the Sell button on the bottom right hand corner to confirm all the details
This will take you back o the transacting screen, the sold artwork will now show a transaction number, the date sold, the price and who it has been sold to.
Additional buttons now given options to print an invoice or email an invoice to the buyer.
